How to Apply Bronzer & Highlighter for a Natural Glow
As we head into shorter, cooler days, we all want to keep that radiant, just-back-from-the-beach look and bronzer is the only product that can give you that healthy, natural glow. Consider bronzer gels, liquids highlighters and cream bronzers the beauty boosters in your makeup arsenal, but know that they can be difficult to apply. Read on for four simple steps to applying bronzer and highlighter for a natural glow.
Step 1. Sweep bronzer around the perimeter of your face because it makes the color look the most natural. Look for a shade that's no more than two shades darker than your natural skin tone.
Step 2. If you prefer a powder bronzer, which is probably easiest to work with, lightly dust the powder across the bridge of your nose, onto your cheeks, and onto your forehead (where the sun naturally hits your face) for a natural tan look. Be sure to apply with a good, quality brush. If you like cream formulas, mix one pump into your favorite moisturizer or sunscreen and apply it all over. If done right, a gel bronzer could even replace your blush.
Step 3. Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks to make the bronzer look natural; it mimics the sun-kissed effect.
Step 4. For extra credit, add a little highlighter (or use a cream eyeshadow in a pale champagne color) to the tops of your cheekbones.
Try Lexi Noel Beauty Liquid Illuminator bronzer in As If (copper), Jealous (gold) or Star (silver). This light-reflecting liquid goes on to enhance your complexion, creating a shimmering beautiful incandescence. You can wear it alone, or add it to your makeup to transform your look from ordinary to extraordinary.
Keep in mind, you're aiming for a tan, glowing, natural version of yourself so choose a shade that accurately describes your skin without bronzer and you'll look fabulous!
